Holiday Giving 2024

The 2024 Holiday Season is just around the corner and once again the YWCA Greater Harrisburg is partnering with local individuals and organizations to support hundreds of families in need during the holiday season. Residents and clients* of the YWCA sign up for the program by submitting a “need and a wish.” We then ask members of the community to adopt a client’s list. It’s the most festive time of the year at the YWCA! Last year, you helped us brighten the season for more than 500 individuals and families and we are hoping to hold another successful Holiday Giving program. This year, more than ever, we hope to spread joy to the individuals and families in need.  If you are interested in participating, please fill out the form below. 

*The YWCA’s Holiday Giving program is dedicated to supporting clients who are currently receiving services from us. At this time, we are unable to accept gift requests from the general public. Thank you for your understanding!

How it works

Each of our clients has submitted a list of one need and one wish. You are not obligated to fulfill every need and wish for the client(s) you adopt. We invite you to participate a level that is comfortable for you.

Due to confidentiality, each client is assigned a number. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THIS NUMBER. It enables us to track each gift and match it with the client(s) you adopt.

ALL GIFTS MUST BE NEW AND UNWRAPPED – we encourage you to donate a gift bag, tissue paper and/or gift wrap.

THE CLIENT NUMBER MUST BE CLEARLY VISIBLE AND SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE GIFT

No violent or sexually explicit books, toys or video games will be accepted.

A volunteer or staff member will contact you to schedule a drop-off appointment. Drop-offs will be scheduled between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. from Monday, December 9 through Thursday, December 12. 

If ordering items from Amazon or another online retailer, please make sure to mark the item as a gift and include the client number on the gift notes! This is extremely important! Items may be shipped to us at 1101 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103. Again, it is very important to include the client number.
