The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

 

About the Junior Board

The Junior Board is made of 18 women between 21-35 years old, charged with creating awareness of the YWCA mission and serves to develop leadership and service skills in its members. The Junior Board of the YWCA is charged with creating awareness of the YWCA mission and serves to develop leadership and service skills in its members. The Junior Board meets on a monthly basis and holds two fundraising events throughout the year, raising funds for the YWCA’s Child Development programs. The board also holds events for the YWCA’s residents throughout the year.

Junior Board applications are accepted during the summer and voted on in August. The 2025 cycle is now closed, but stay tuned for details on applying to the 2026–2027 Junior Board in Summer 2026.
