The YWCA's Housing and Homelessness Services program is seeking a volunteer to assist with its life skills classes between 10-15 hours per week. Duties would include assisting with curriculum development, program evaluation, solicitation of volunteer life skills teachers, and assisting with data input. The YWCA is currently seeking volunteers to assist with its open-door winter overnight shelter. Projects include making snack packs and bed packs with hygiene kits for overnight guests, greeting overnight guests at 9 p.m., doing intake, making simple referrals, assisting in laundering bedding, and waking guests at 6 a.m. to prepare them to leave the building by 7 a.m. For more information, contact Julie Hoskins at 234-7931 x. 3052 or email@example.com.
