Programs and Services

2010-2011 Statistics

 

 

Housing and Homelessness Programs -- Two hundred and fifty-one women and children found safe haven in our emergency shelter. Eighty-six women and children were enrolled in our Bridge and Transitional Housing programs for 20,725 nights. Eighty-one percent of program graduates went on the find permanent housing.

Violence Intervention and Prevention Programs --Services were provided to 3,347 victims of domestic or sexual violence and their non-offending significant others, and the 24-hour violence/sexual assault crisis hotline (1-800-654-1211) received 1,634 calls.

Legal Services -- Last year, the YWCA  Legal Center provided services to 1,827 victims of domestic violence, stalking, dating violence, and sexual assault in 2,136 cases.

Family Visitation Services -- Visitation Services facilitated visits for 319 children  with non-custodial parents and siblings in foster care.

Children and Youth Programs -- Last year, YWCA's Children and Youth programs provided care and education for 293 children with ages ranging from infants to middle schoolers. Nearly 100 children attended Camp Reily, and 49 middle school girls were enrolled in Club and Camp Ophelia, an arts based program that addresses relational aggression.

Economic and Neighborhood Development Programs

YW Works Employment Program -- One hundred and eighty clients found meaningful employment in-line with their self sufficiency goals.

Veterans Employment and Housing Program --  Seventy-four homeless veterans that participated in YW-VETS programs obtained housing.

Supported Employment - The Supported Employment program provided client services that exceeded projected demand by 106%.

CEEED- Center for Employment, Education, and Entrepreneurial Development --Last year the CEEED supported 341 members of the community with 181 receiving direct services through END programs.
