On Saturday, April 30, The YWCA of Greater Harrisburg sponsored the first Harrisburg-area Race Against Racism. This 5K run/walk demonstrated the YW's commitment to racial equality and opportunity, and raised awareness of issues related to race in our community.
Despite Mother Nature's lack of cooperation, nearly 300 runners and walkers participated in the race. Participants remarked how wonderful it was to see people from all walks of life joining together under one cause.

Prizes were awarded to the top three male and female contestants. The winners are as follows: First place (3-month YMCA membership and $40 Bliss Spa gift certificates)
