Volunteer Victim Advocate Training
The YWCA is now accepting applications for volunteer victim advocate training. This four-week training is designed for individuals interested in providing support and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.Training sessions will begin on Monday, March 26. Sessions will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5-9 p.m. in the Board Room of the YWCA Greater Harrisburg, 1101 Market St.
Qualified applicants must:
- Be over the age of 18
- Be interested in working with victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault
- Be available to volunteer evenings and weekends
- Complete combined classroom and online training as well as field practicum
