Join us for the Diversity Forum on August 17th as we kick off a new series on “Confronting the ‘isms’ ”!

As we seek to work for social justice, it is crucial to understand what oppression is and how it operates, its intersectional nature, and what some of the “isms” are that we don’t talk about as much.

Our first session will set the foundation for our new series, unpacking the concepts of oppression and intersectionality, so that we can have a solid understanding of what oppression is and how all of the “isms” intersect.

We are excited to have Angelique Arroyo, Owner of Angelique Guides: Infrastructures for Conscious Leaders & Collective Healing, who will facilitate a training for us on this topic.

To register, please click here. The Diversity Forum is free and open to the public!

A light breakfast is provided.

Please note that for the 2017-18 academic year, the Diversity Forum will be held at HACC’s Midtown Campus.

  • We will be in the Midtown #2 building, located at 1500 Third Street (the corner of 3rd & Reily).
  • Please see this map of the location and available parking - all lots noted with a 'P' are HACC parking lots which Diversity Forum attendees can park in without a parking permit required.
  • Accessible parking is available in the 'P2' lot directly off of 3rd St, and the building is fully accessible.
  • Please use the main entrance at 3rd & Boyd Sts - proceed straight to elevator and take it to the 2nd floor, where signs will direct you to room 206.
