Join us for the Diversity Forum on September 21st as we continue our new series on Confronting the ‘isms’!
One of the “isms” that we don’t talk a lot about is ableism. Disabilities can be both seen and unseen – so we will hear about how oppression impacts those with physical disabilities, mental health and autism.
Josie Byzek, Managing Editor of New Mobility will emcee this Forum, and our speakers will include:
- Marsha Drenth, Center for Independent Living of Central PA
- Pam Auer, Center for Independent Living of Central PA
- Lynn Keltz, PA Mental Health Consumers' Association
- Carmen Henry-Harris, Penn State University PACT

Please note: It was brought to our attention that this Diversity Forum falls on the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashana. Unfortunately, it was not feasible for us to reschedule but we apologize for the conflict and will strive to be more cognizant of future holidays in our planning.
The Diversity Forum is free and open to the public! A light breakfast is provided.
